Gas pedal went to the floor and accelerated at a high rate. Vehicle was involved in an accident due to problems with the accelerator pedal and high rate acceleration.
The spacing between the brake pedal and gas pedal is too close. Driver's foot gets caught between the pedals when changing from one pedal to the other. This resulted in vehicle crashing into another vehicle while pulling into a parking space due to faiilure to use brake pedal.
Brake pedal and accelerator pedal are too close together. Consumer states that when pushing down on the brake pedal, the side of his foot hits the accelerator and the car may move forward. Consumer has had two close calls. Consumer is concerned with the design, to prevent touching the pedal.
