The brake pedal and accelerator pedal are too close together and the brake pedal, when pressed, is lower than the accelerator pedal. The design of these components has caused sudden acceleration.
Accelerator pedal and brake pedal are too close together.when applying brakes pedal goes down lower than accelerator pedal. Will accidently touch accelerator pedal when applying brakes. Has caused consumer to surge forward and rear end another vehicle.*akfailures have been at stopped positions. The brake pedal goes below the accelerator pedal and consumers foot winds up depressing it also. Consumer has a 2000 model and experiences no problems.
