The vehicle has been in the dealership three different times due to the brake light going out. The dealership has replaced fuses, wires and brake switch. The repairs that were performed was not an actual fix with failure still reoccuring. The owner is concerned that she will be rear ended due to brake lights going out with no warning.
While traveling at 60 mph consumer turned on cruise control, was getting ready to exit and put on brakes to cut off speed control, vehicle slowed down, and then accelerated back to 60 mph. Took vehicle to dealer, and they said switch was bad that worked with brakes. This switch also knocked out rear brake lights. There was no indication that the brake lights had failed to alert the driver.
