Went to three mechanics and they said it was difficult to overhaul the engine and it would be better to get another one, either a rebuilt or new one which would cost 2 to 4 thousand. They said it was the valves need new seals or something. It won't pass the SMOG tests. I thought these engines were built to last longer. I take care if it, change the oil, but it is using up more and starting to leak. Maybe I'm asking too much from an old car, but it runs great when on the road. Have to decide to get another car or spend more money on this one.
