The vehicle would crank but would not start. The dealer replaced brake light switch connector but the problem was not solved. The check engine light came on right after the repair was done. The consumer states the diagnosis by the dealer was wrong and should be repeated.
Consumer stated the engine stalls when driving, if the vehicle is shut off for 2 minutes, and then restarted it will run perfectly, vehicle has been into dealership on numerous occasions, but the dealer has been unable to duplicate the problem, however a gas filler tube was installed, in October 2001, however 1000 miles later the problem resurfaced.

Vehicle has stalled at any speed 5 times since purchase. Taken to dealer two times under warranty, was not able to find problem. Now that warranty has expired dealer found vacuum control valve to be the problem, at a cost of almost $ 600.00
