The contact owns a 2007 Lincoln Navigator. While the vehicle was parked, the contact heard a popping noise followed by a loud explosion. He noticed that the vehicle was on fire. He then heard more popping sounds and noticed that the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames. The fire destroyed the vehicle and melted the sidings of the house and shed. The vehicle has not been inspected to determine the cause of the fire. The current and failure mileages were 1,500. The consumer stated before the fire remembers the cruise control was acting erratic and the heat in the vehicle was not working at the time. The consumer provided pictures of the vehicle engulfed in flames from the defect. Updated 08/20/07
