The contact owns a 1999 Lincoln Navigator. While traveling at 70 mph, the contact noticed the smell of smoke inside the cabin. The contact parked the vehicle and several hours later, the vehicle caught on fire from under the hood. The fire department was called to extinguish the fire. A report was not filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed for the failure. The current and failure mileages were 100,000.
#1 spark plug on 1999 Navigator blew out on rt 80 in pa 400 miles from my home. I had to rent a U-haul truck and trailer to tow my Navigator home at the cost of $600. I had to leave my race car and trailer in pa. I don't know how I am going to go get it. I have no tow vehicle.
The vehicle stalls at 45 mph or more when on the highway. Taken in for testing and results show that the computer has no codes, which recognizes failure. Manufacturer has been contacted and is aware of the problem.
While driving under 40 mph the engine started vibrating and hesitating. The chck engine light went on. According to Lincoln, the engine needs two new cylinder heads. The car has less than 64,000 miles.
I own a 1999 Lincoln Navigator (Ford engine 5.4L DOHC) only 52000 miles. The spark plug #4 blow out of the engine while driving on the highway. I've seen many of the Ford expedigion and Lincoln Navigator owners experience this same issue. There is obviously a default with there engine for these models and thus should be recalled.

While driving at various speeds engine will stall without warning. Dealer notified. Vehicle would stall as soon as consumer takes off foot from accelerator pedal. Dealer repaired the vehicle; however, consumer had concerns regarding the incident will happen again.
