Brake line located next to steering column is so close the steering column rubbed and wore a hole into the brake line causing brake failure.

The contact owns a 2006 Lincoln Mark lt. While driving at approximately 60 mph, the vehicle stalled and the engine fail safe mode warning light illuminated. The contact also stated that the steering wheel seized and the brakes failed. The failures recurred on several occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 42,000.
