After getting off the highway and stopping at a pharmacy, I started to go back to the highway and suddenly had no brakes. Thank goodness I was still in the driveway to the traffic light and not going 50 miles an hour or more. I stopped the car with emergency brake and re-started again: same thing happened- no brakes. My home was only a mile away so I drove at one mile an hour and limped home. The following day I had to have the car towed to Fairway Lincoln where they would not give me a loaner car even though the repair would be a few days. I just had the 80,000 mile check-up in January and was told brakes and all car parts were in excellent condition. When I asked how this could possibly happen when the car had just been checked, and there were no warnings that this was going to happen, the service person was extremely rude. The repair was a whole new brake module for over $2,000 plus towing, plus inconvenience. As soon as I got the repaired car, I traded it in for another car. It is horrifying to drive a car and lose brakes completely with no warning. I am thankful that I and the three people in car with me weren't killed.
