The water pump is located inside front of engine and it started leaking. Since its inside engine there is no way to know its leaking. So a very bad design. I got no notice of a problem until the engine stuttered and stopped. Took it to the local Ford dealer and they looked at the oil on dip stick and it was a awful mix of water and oil. They said I would have to replace engine. That is where the $6441 cost tag comes from. This is a design problem for all Ford 3.5 and 3.7 V6s. I will never buy another Ford 3.6 V6. Ford should cover cost of engine replacement. But I won't hold my breath.
