The contact owns a 2011 Lincoln Mkz. The contact stated that the vehicle suddenly accelerated while she was attempting to park with the brake depressed. The vehicle proceeded to jump over a curb and came to a stop when it crashed into a cement pillar. The contact suffered injuries to the back. A police report was filed. The contact also stated that before the failure, the engine exhibited a reving sound but the contact thought that the noise was normal. The vehicle was towed to a local collision specialist. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 18,500. Updated 12/21/12 the consumer stated the vehicle was declared a total loss. There was also heavty damage to the building. Updated 01/15/2013
