The contact owns a 2010 Lincoln Mkz. The contact stated that there was an abnormal fuel odor in the vehicle and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle leaked fuel and the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000.
