Takata recall - received recall notice July 2016, but still not fixed when timeline shows to be recalled by May 2016 in Kansas. The recall notice doesn't accomplish any safety without the fix!!! Ford contends car is safe to operate based on technical data, advising that they "have no reports of any explosions in Ford vehicles", and NHTSA will not provide data to public on what cars have exploded to enable verification by public. This is in direct conflict with the recall notice, which says defect could result in serious injury or death. I purchased two of these vehicles from two separate Ford dealers in Kansas City area in November 2015 without any notifications of the defects despite NHTSA being aware of these defects for many years prior to my purchases. How is the safety mission of NHTSA being met here"?? why are these dangerous cars still being sold with NHTSA not objecting"
