The contact owns a 2007 Lincoln Mkz. While driving approximately 65 mph, the front driver side door swung open without warning. The contact had to hold the door closed in order to drive the vehicle. The failure occurred two times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the door latch fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000. Updated 02/03/17
