2017 Lincoln MKX Leased Vehicle. Goes off Lease 9/20
When the headlights are in use the problem presents itself. A white hazy film develops on both rt/lt lens. An experienced bodyshop told me the problem is in the headlight housing. When the housing is manufactured there is an anti reflective agent sprayed on the inside. The substance whatever it is wears away due to the heat generated by the lighting source. This condition can not be repaired both the rt/lt lens housing has to be replaced.The front bumper cover has to be replaced or dropped to achieve this. I have opened up a Case with Lincoln Corp. I do not know if they will cover the replacements. Also I might add the quality of the lighting will lessen as time goes on.
