Ford/Lincoln should know that they have a problem with the electric power steering in Ford Fusions and Lincoln MKX and MKZ vehicles (and some others). My research traces the problem back to at least 2011. Imagine driving down the highway at 70 mph going around a turn or exiting when the power steering goes completely out. I don't think many women could turn the wheel. I had 2 use both hands and it took a lot of effort. The dash lights up with all kinds of defects from loss of cruise control to no hill assist, service advance trac, pre collision assist not active, steering assist fault service required, and more. I shut the car off... restarted it and everything worked fine for 3 weeks. It did it again and I almost had an accident. I took it to the dealership and they replaced the power steering control module. After the test drive 1 code popped up and they may have to replace the rack and pinion steering as well. I am waiting to find out. THIS IS DANGEROUS and I can't believe nothing has been done! I would like to be part of a class action suit.
