On exit ramp doing 35 mph and car just died. No warning lights. Dash just went black and when I realized the engine died it was hard to steer. I did get it over to the side of the road and put it in park and it started right back up. If I had been on the interstate with an 18 wheeler on my rear I would have been in real trouble. Took it to the dealer, they checked it out and kept it and drove it and couldn't find anything wrong. I have little confidence in the car now and will not get on the interstate at all with it. Sad thing is that I have been a Lincoln owner for years and one of the main reasons I bought this car was I felt it was as safe or safer than any car on the road.

For the second time the engine died while driving. It has only been 300 miles since it did it the last time. No warning, no alerts, warning lights. Thank goodness I was sitting waiting for a light to turn green and not in forward motion. When I tried to accelerate I realized I had no power so I put it in park and it started with no hesitation. I am going back to dealer this morning. I cannot trust this car to drive it. After two times I feel certain it will do it again and I may not be as lucky next time. I haven't been on the interstate since the first incident but I can't just creep around town afraid of my car forever. Something has to be done.
