FIXED! = 2013 Lincoln MKX began shutting off randomly WHILE DRIVING and then would crank right back up (most of the time) and go good for a day and then shut-off again. NOT GOOD! No engine light but it was a simple fix! It was the vapor canister purge valve sticking open intermittently and also replaced the vent solenoid. No more shut-offs after these parts installed, less than $100 and fairly easy DIY. There ought to be a TSB and more readily attainable info concerning this serious issue and fix. There are numerous similar complaints on this model describing the same situation.
Near the end of my 35 minute commute home I stopped at a light. When the light turned green, I put my foot on the accelerator. . The car would not accelerate. The low engine pressure light came on. I turned the steering wheel to coast the car to the right lane. I put the car in park. I had the car towed to a dealer. The dealer could not duplicate the problem and the computer had no history of the error messaage. Very troubling. I drive the freeway to work during early morning hours. If this had occurred on the freeway, the car would've been an easy target for traffic behind me.
