I applied my hazards when pulling over and once it was safe to resume, I went to turn off my hazards and they would not turn off. I tried shutting off the vehicle and restarting but nothing was clearing it. The button was not stuck either. After about 20 mins of driving with the hazards, I tried the button again and the hazards shut off. I believe there is an issue with the front control panel.

Cover securing engine start/stop button popped off and start/stop button was pulled into the dash.. can reach button only by fishing around in dash through access opening. Secured button somewhat with bungee cord but button still inch or more in dash. Obviously installed under excessive tension. Notified Lincoln but advised it was not an assembly issue. Dealer estimate to repair - $645. Vehicle has not not been in an accident and start/stop button has had only normal wear. Vehicle mileage 68,000. Believe this is major safety issue which Lincoln should repair.

All ability to control the HVAC is lost while in motion. The vehicle allows me to select any function I ask of it on the center stack like ac, heat, feet vents, defrost with a confirming light and "boop" sound, however only hot air blows out the defroster vent and it cannot be turned off without turning the whole vehicle off. In cooler weather, especially when raining, the windows fog up and visibility is lost. Other systems affected are the lock/unlock buttons inside the car. When the vehicle is put into park and the unlock button is pressed, a soft click can be heard, however the car stays locked. The only way to unlock the doors is to use the keyfob. In an emergency situation, it would be difficult to exit the vehicle. Also, once the doors are unlocked and the vehicle is driven to a certain speed, the locks do not auto-lock again. When the vehicle is turned off, it does not recognize the key and the vehicle won't start, but the key-fob still works for unlocking and locking the vehicle. The tailgate button on the outside of the vehicle and on the key-fob will not work, however, the tailgate button inside of the vehicle does work. The vehicle will not go into an auxillary mode. If the vehicle is not turned off and continues to be driven, the car will "come to" after 30 plus minutes and work normally again. If the vehicle is turned off, it won't restart from anywhere of 1-30 minutes. When it restarts, everything is normal again. Dealer shows no error codes and doesn't yet know how to fix it. My best guess is that there is a computer issue, as some parts of the vehicle are fine, but others stop working. Issue started in June 2018, has yet to be fixed by Lincoln. Usually happens 2-4 times a month. Latest it happened was 10-15-2019. Many videos of issue.

The contact owns a 2013 Lincoln Mkt. While driving in a funeral procession, smoke and flames appeared from the engine compartment under the hood. Prior to the failure, the vehicle had been parked with the engine off for three hours. The driver stopped the vehicle, asked the passengers to exit, opened the hood, and extinguished the flames with a fire extinguisher. The fire department arrived to assist with extinguishing the flames and filed a fire report. There were no injuries. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed to the contact's shop. The contact stated that the vehicle had been in and out of the mechanic shop for six months out of the year it had been owned. Prior to the fire, the vehicle was towed to american limousine service cleveland (11723 detroit ave, lakewood, oh 44107) from where it was purchased. The mechanic made repairs to the vehicle, but failures still occurred. The vehicle was then taken to S&S/superior coach (2550 central point parkway, lima, oh 45804) where three computer monitors and wiring were removed from the vehicle. The dealer returned the vehicle to the contact a week before the fire. The contact stated that the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 15V172000 (electrical system), but the contact did not receive a recall letter. The vehicle was then taken to reineke Ford Lincoln of lima (1360 greely chapel rd, lima, oh 45804, (419) 223-3673) where it currently remained for evaluation. The manufacturer was not notified. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 35,000.

Loss of power on the highway causing the car to stall then it kicked back in. Then it did not start after we parked it and tried to start it back up. We had it towed to a auto repair place that said it was the fuel pump electric module pem may have overheated causing a loss of electric power to the fuel pump
