It happened twice after we bought the vehicle in early 2022.
March 2022: My daughter hit the start button and engine did not start, but the car then rolled down our driveway out into the street and hit the curb across the street. The brakes DID NOT WORK. Steering wheel was locked. No damage was done, but it scared my daughter since she could not stop the vehicle.
May 2022: My daughter was parked at a gas station and hit the start button. The car did not start, but it rolled forward with the steering wheel locked and the BRAKES once again did not work at all and would not stop the car. She hit the start button and all the other buttons and the car rolled into a bollard at the gas station. She said she pressed the start button and held it for several seconds and the car finally stopped, after it scraped the bollard down the entire side of the passenger side.
Two witnesses in the vehicle corroborated her story as they were yelling for her to "hit the brakes" and she yelled back "I am stepping on the brake and nothing is happening!"
