- BLIND SPOT INFORMATION SYSTEM (BLIS) - EXTENDED WARNING AFTER OBJECT LEAVES DETECTION AREA - BUILT ON OR BEFORE 4/6/2015 ISSUE Some 2015 MKC vehicles built on or before 4/6/2015 may exhibit a concern with the BLIS warning indicator remaining on longer than one minute after an object leaves the detection area and the detection area remains clear. 1. Does the BLIS warning indicator remain on longer than one minute after an object leaves the detection area and the detection area remains clear? Refer to the Owner's Manual for the detection area. a. Yes - replace the affected side obstacle detection control module (SOD). Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-04. b. No - this article does not apply. Refer to WSM, Section 419-04 for normal diagnostics
