The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln MKC. The contact stated that while the wife was driving into an intersection the vehicle crashed into a second vehicle. During the crash, the front of the vehicle was severely damaged but only the front driver air bag located under the dashboard console had partially deployed. No other airbags in the vehicle were deployed to provide protection to the driver. No injuries were reported. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. During the crash, the vehicle was destroyed. The cause of the failures was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were contacted regarding the failure. The failure mileage was 75,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln Mkc. The contact stated that the passenger side air bag warning indicator illuminated intermittently while the passenger seat was occupied. The vehicle was taken to major world (43-40 northern blvd, long island city, NY 11101, (866) 614-2884) to be diagnosed, but the mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 28,900. Consumer stated air bag light on and off. Updated 10/19/18
The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln Mkc. While driving approximately 3-5 mph in traffic, another vehicle struck the front driver side of the contact's vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. There were no warning indicators illuminated prior to the crash. The contact sustained an injury to the left side of the head as it came in contact with the driver side window, as well as injuries to the left shoulder, lumber strain, left knee and leg injuries, and right and left wrist strains. Medical attention was required. The contact mentioned that her left jaw was swollen and she suffered ongoing headaches. The contact was unaware of the injuries to the other party involved. A police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to an unknown local Lincoln dealer in cleveland, Ohio which was then taken to nick mayer collsion center (2613 scranton rd in cleveland, Ohio 44113 (216) 556-1222) for body repairs and diagnoses for the air bag deployment failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,900.
The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln Mkc. The contact stated that there were cracks on the dashboard that were approximately 4 inches long causing the passenger side air bag to be exposed. The contact had the vehicle diagnosed by the dealer and they suggested an independent mechanic due to the cost of the repair. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where the repairs were declined sue to the location of the cracks. The manufacturer was notified of the failure the vehicle was not repaired.
