Purchased the car 2wks and this warning rear passenger door ajar. I would stop go shut the door and the light would stay on . I by accident hit the switch for the rear passenger window to go down and quickly pushed it to go up and the warning rear passenger door ajar light came off!!!... It didn't come on again for a week. I would push the window switch and quickly push it again to go up... Would go off. I figured there must be a loose wire or something and just blew it off.
Well in March of 2014 that warning would come up every day to the point of I would park my car at a friends and someone would come over and tell me the interior lights were on in my car. I would go out turn ignition on and that warning rear passenger door ajar would be on.. Well, when I would go home I had no way of knowing that the light would just come on by itself, then my car alarm would go off continuously at all hours because the light was coming on and running my battery down..I have replaced the battery and the issue still is not solved so I have had to disconnect the new battery and not use my car.
My understanding this issue could be due to the DATC being bad. All connected to the computer system which warns of faults...
