My mechanic has tightened the stabilizing bar on the frame of the car and it seems to help some. Unfortunately, it only lasts a few weeks or so and then the noise is back and just as loud. They say there is no danger and the car is safe to drive, but it is very annoying and makes you feel the car is falling apart. When it is time to sell, I am afraid the buyer will not want it because of the fear of something being majorly wrong with the car. The car drives great and rides smoothly, other than it sits very low to the ground and I bottom out on some speed bumps even though I know to stop and slowly go over them.
My mechanic was not happy with me when I showed up with this car after I bought it. He warned me I would have suspension problems and he was exactly right. The car is 10 years old and only has 63,000 miles on it.
