NHTSA recall campaign 00V359001. Ford issued a front lower ball joint recall. This vehicle was not included in the recall due to VIN. But the ball joints made noise at various speeds, which the owner was concerned that they can become detached from the front.

Dealership indicated that the upper/lower ball joints were defective, and needed to be replaced. Lower ball joint recall 00V3590001 was issued. However, this vehicle was not included due to VIN.

While driving 4 mph driver heard a loud knocking noise coming from the front. Suddenly, the vehicle vibrated uncontrollably. Vehicle was towed to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the front passenger lower ball joint needed to be replaced.

Recall 00V359001 concerning front lower ball joints. Vehicle was having problems with the front lower ball joints. Consumer took the vehicle to the dealer where the problem was diagnosed. Consumer later contacted the manufacturer and provided them with the VIN. Manufacturer informed consumer that this vehicle was not included in the current recall due to VIN. However, the vehicle was experiencing the same problems that were described in the recall. The consumer heard a grinding noise on the front passenger side of the vehicle.

The consumer noticed that the left lower ball joint completely snapped off. The vehicle has been taken back to the service dealer because the engine's valve cover failed and the timing chain broke.

The consumer contacted the dealer regarding recall 00V-359 for the lower ball joint, consumer took the vehicle in for inspection and was informed that the vehicle was not subject to the recall, when the consumer inquired why the dealer told him that the computer indicated "a lack of comment" on the vehicle and that Ford would not pay him to inspect the vehicle for defect. Nlm
