At least I have a mechanic who will install cheap parts from Advance Auto. The new steering rack cost just $125 . The labor with a couple new tie rods was the rest. The shop down the street wanted around $900 for their cost so got away cheap. I didn't think the rack would last this long , almost 70,000 miles on it so far. It is lifetime warrantied, too.
