This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Car's automatic door lock system is not working. Somewhere inside one of the doors or in a control panel, this item is malfunctioning-indicating that one of the doors is open. When the door is open the car will not lock. I have driven this car with children in the back seat and cannot lock the doors. In addition, another problem occurs because all interior lights remain on because this "door open" signal is on. This constant problem has caused me to lose 1 Ford battery in 3 months and the one in the car now is weak. I was told (when the car was under extended warranty) that the dealer could not trace the problem. When car was out of warranty I was told that dealer could try to fix with a $600 part that may work. Surely this is a safety issue first--one that has been pushed aside by the dealer.
Ntire right side of the vehicle is lower than the left side due to suspension failure. Also, doors operate intermittently/ radio doesn't work/ motor keeps moving when consumer stops vehicle/ in the daytime consumer is unable to read anything on dashboard. Due the structure of the vehicle, and consumer has to turn on the inside lights to read dashboard.
