The interior cabin rear-view mirror was defective and had been replaced by the dealer 3 times since 06/96. The view through the mirror was distorted which prevented consumer from seeing other vehicles properly.
The rearview electronic mirror malfunctioned, causing lighting from the cars behind the vehicle to distract the driver's eyes, affecting visibility, and could cause a crash. Mirror has no manual adjustment to deflect the lights of other cars.
