This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I was driving on the interstate with my daughter (she was in her car seat in the second row), when all of a sudden we heard a very loud explosion type sound and then glass from the moon roof came flying into the car. My daughter was screaming and crying, and I wasn-??t sure if she had been hit with glass at first (she wasn-??t thankfully, but could have been)-?"she was just very scared. I had to pull over on the interstate to make sure she was okay. I had just purchased this car brand new less than a week ago. There were no cars in front of me when this happened and it was a very mild winter day (temps in the upper 40-??s) and partly cloud. No debris hit my car, so this was entirely spontaneous.
