Lincoln TSB #SSM 50653
2021 Lincoln Aviator
TSB Document:
Affected Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary
- Some 2020-2022 Aviator Hybrid vehicles may exhibit an illuminated MIL and a Stop Safely Now message with only DTC P1A0C stored in the PCM. This may be due to the software in the battery energy control module (BECM). The condition occurs when the vehicle is started when the charging cord is connected. To prevent the condition from occurring, disconnect the charger prior to starting the vehicle. If the charger is not disconnected before starting, the ignition will need to be cycled before driving. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in May-2022. No additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Monitor OASIS for updates and schedule a service appointment for customers once the repair becomes available.
