I was never informed of a recall or problems relating to my 2008 Lexus Rx350. The dash is cracked all over and needs replacing. I would have never thought a Lexus would have such an issue. It looks terrible and is an insult to Lexus owners.

Same problem as everyone else except this car has been kept in a heated/air conditioned garage from the day I bought it. It just turned 100,00 miles. So, mine did not fail during the 2017 time frame. Tough luck? Or unfair? Still trying to work something out but if not, I will be a thorn in their side for a long time. Right is right and wrong is wrong. I had more respect for Lexus.

I came to learn about the issue June 1, 2017. I was never notified. When I called Lexus, the employee stated that since it was a cosmetic issue that I was not required to be notified. She also said my cars age warranty was expired. I think this is very crappy to first not notify me since I was supposed to be notified by law. The dashboard cracking is out of control.

RX350 2008 just noticed a crack in the dash on the passenger side. Lexus did replace a dash in my RX330 in 2016 when the car was 12 years old. We returned the 2008 RX to the dealer. They now say the program has ended on May 2017. The dealer along with my call to Lexus HQ states that the car had a 10 year date of service in Sept 2017. The enhanced warranty would no longer apply . They also seemed to be concerned about the use of the dealer for service. Leaving me with the impression that any defects must be noted in the dealer and Lexus system. There obviously is a problem with certain Lexus interior plastics.

My question is why did they replace the dash in my 04 RX when it was 12 years old. and now deny any coverage for my now 10 year old RX 350.

We also had problems with sticky soft rubber on the rear hatch latch which we replaced for nearly $200. That rubber is now degrading and will need to be replaced again. In comparison my 2004 RX330 had not had this issue.

The dashboard is cracking all over and melting into a stick mess. It smells like hot, toxic plastic. I was told I was on page 40 of the repairs and it would take about a year to fix. Now I cannot sell or trade-in for another and am not sure I even would buy another one. Only 18,645 miles on this car, too! Very unhappy with Lexus on time for fix.
