The front end damage amounted to $22,190. Upon impact, the air bags did not deploy. The driver was belted. The vehicle was towed and had been repaired. The driver sustained injuries. The manufacturer stated that the air bags did not deploy because the contact was belted, and because the impact of the crash was not hard enough. The failure mileage was 10,000, and the current mileage was 10,700. The contact had a police report.
