Truck hatch lift gate switch rubber release button melted like tar. Really don't know exactly when it started but when it was eventually discovered the entire surrounding area was covered with black tar substance which was difficult to clean up & remove. Very poor quality material by Lexus, I purchased a replacement for $17.95 online and replace myself. Beginning to feel like Lexus is cheaply made and not worth the money.
