Rockville Center Lexus dealership told me to change new steering rack as 1 pinion slightly bend. They also said there is a little oil leak there but it is not big problem and can be fixed later since steering rack is important for driving safety. They said part is estimated at $1,200 plus labor $700 plus alignment $250 plus taxes. So roughly around $2,150 + tax. Next day they called my house and said they want to fix the oil leaking forn $260 + tax. I was upset as they said yesterday it was a little leak and not needed being fixed urgently. Actually, I told them I have never seen oil drops on my garage floor so I do not believe that is an issue. I asked the rep having the technician call me. They never called back???

I believe they overcharged me for steering rack and tried to squeeze me out for more money. I called Lexus Corporation and complained about it. They said they will open the case and have the case manager call me in 3 business days???!!!

Anyone knows any costs relating to this, please let me know. FYI, I do not drive that much my mileage is less than 30,000 miles despite my model is RX330 2004, Appreciate a lot.
