I purchased my 2008 RX400h back in 2015 with 80,000 miles and as far as I can remember it always made that noise coming from under the hood (what I know now to be ) the Abs Actuator, also to my surprise now I know that this cars are known for faulty Abs Actuator. my car now has all the lights related to the break system on and a constant REAL ANNOYING Beep sound . They claim that there was some kind of extended warranty witch I never knew anything about till now. From reading all the comments here This seems like a much bigger deal then what I was thinking and hopefully Lexus will start doing something to fix this mess, Just the part cost $2,100 at the dealer ship with out labor that’s crazy! If any body has any luck getting Lexus to honor some kind of compensation please keep a update ..

RX400H

  • Automatic transmission
  • 140,445 miles

All warning lights: Check VSC System, Master Warning Light, Brake Warning Light, Electronically Controlled Brake Warning Light, Anti-Lock Brake System, Slip Indicator Lights illuminated. No previous issues prior to this. Vehicle currently has 140,445 miles.

Took to Lexus San Diego to diagnose. "Codes C1392, C1345, C1336, C1203 Zero point calibration undone, linear solenoid undone, zero point calibration undone. Tried calibrating yaw rate, linear solenoid, zero point won't calibrate. Rec. brake actuator assembly" Quoted: $2598.71

Come to find out there was a Warranty Enhancement Notification that expired at 150,000 miles or on 02/13/2019, whichever occurs first. What are the chances that the Actuator fails EXACTLY one year after expiration of warranty?

Contacted Lexus Customer Assistance Center to see if they are able to assist or partially honor warranty. They stated since this is not a recall they cannot.
