The contact owns a 2018 Lexus LX570. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 18V887000 (air bags, seat belts). The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair as the recall notice was received over a year ago. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was contacted several times and was unable to confirm when the parts were to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available. The consumer stated the recall work was performed on August 19, 2019.
Still waiting for fix to faulty passenger side air bag fix due February 2019. It is now almost May 2018. Please get them to move or give us a new car without the problem!
