The contact owns a 2013 Lexus LX570. When the ignition was started, the air bag malfunction warning indicator illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was serviced per NHTSA campaign number: 18V887000 (air bags, seat belts) in August of 2019, but the failure recurred. The contact also had the front driver's side air bag replaced. The vehicle was taken to Lexus of marin (located at 513 francisco blvd E, san rafael, ca 94901, (415) 326-7419) where it was diagnosed that the wiring harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 66,000.
Airbag 'off indicator stays on constantly. Have received a recall notice from Lexus saying it is a seat belt tension sensor and to be patient while they prepare a remedy for this condition. The light came on one day and has remained on since.
