This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Braking, at times, is irregular, during normal operating conditions. Feels as if the braking system is misreading data. Took car to Lexus dealer about 2-2.5 months ago and told rotors were a bit warped. Dealer turned rotors and said everything should be fine. Problem did not fully resolve. About a week ago, noticed same issues and returned to dealer who informed me that the rotors needed turning again and that they could see a depression on one rotor made from the brake pad. I was informed that the rotors can get hot in traffic and I likely pressed too hard on them in traffic. However, this occurred during the months of mid-February through April and climate has been moderate. Between these two visits, I had driven approximately 4K miles and I have not ridden brakes unduly hard. After most recent visit to dealer, braking is not always smooth and feels like a control module is not calibrating the braking pressure correctly causing improper pressure on rotors and periodic irregularity when braking.
