The contact owns a 2007 Lexus Ls 460. While attempting to accelerate from a stop sign, the vehicle lost power. The accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to accelerate and increase in rpms. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the spark plugs needed to be replaced, the engine control unit needed to be reprogrammed, and the fuel lines needed to be flushed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 64,000... updated 12/22/16
I filed on 3-2-10 the event that my car stopped running when I was on the 405 freeway going 65 or 70 mph. It turns out that the computer that runs the fuel injectors broke down and needed to be replaced. This is on a three year old Lexus LS460.
