Purchased a 2007 Lexus LS460 on March 5th, got a prepurchase inspection and there are multiple things that have gone wrong. The latest repair needed is the fuel pressure sensor, costs approx $1525 at the dealer. I contacted Lexus to see if this would be part of the recall and case manager amanda deantonio stated that based on the miles, age and my service history, loyalty to Lexus, they can not assist me with getting this repair done. I am awaiting a supervisor to call me back regarding the repair that I believe should be covered under the "fuel pressure sensor" leak, elf campaign. On May 15, 2015, the gasket was replaced and the fuel pressure sensor sealing surface was repaired. I am now looking at a safety issue with this vehicle I purchased due the fuel pressure sensor shorting out my ECM, which has caused my car not to start. I am asking Lexus to replace this part at no charge due to the faulty part. Consequently, the fuel pressure sensor is installed where the plating material on the gasket seating surface is.

My kids and I was traveling in vehicle when I tried to apply the brakes and noticed my car would not stop. I was traveling approx. 25 mph on city street and had to pull over and later get my car towed to dealership. The dealership explained my actuator needs replacing and Lexus will cover the cost, however the actuator caused my brake pump to go out. Lexus have not issued a recall but have put an "extended warranty" in place until 12/2017, my family lives was endangered due to this failure and now Lexus want to charge me $2K to replace the brake booster pump assembly. This part is directly related to the ABS system. Lexus representative mike stated "we will pay for actuator ($2K) and you will pay for the pump). My husband contacted Lexus corporate and spoke with kathrina boyles and denied our case and reinterated Lexus will only cover the actuator-she also sent us a denial letter. How is this possible" Lexus do not want to issue a recall on the actuator because that would be them taking blame so they cowardly issued an "extended warranty". my actuator malfunctioning put my family life in extreme danger and caused my pump to malfunction and yet Lexus want me to pay the bill. Do Lexus care that my family life was put in danger" should I contact a lawyer or local news station and tell my dangerous story. My god I couldn't stop the car immediately and swerved all over the place until I was able get car to slow down.

Vehicle currently has 65K miles. Within last 1,000 miles, began noticing noises coming from brake actuator. Noise has become more noticeable. Today, on 12/15/2016, while driving, I was required to brake suddenly, and vehicle was not as responsive as needed. This almost caused an accident. I called the local Lexus dealership, and they are not aware of any current recalls - this needs to be looked into soon, before the failure of the brake actuator causes an accident.

Brake malfunction error was shown on the speedometer screen with five lights (ABS, vsc, brake, traction control light, and warning light). The brake pedal became very soft and the vehicle came to abrupt stops. On other occasions the brake pedal became hard as a rock and also made the vehicle come to a jerking stop. Pulsation and noise were also noted. Dealer advised that the brake actuator part (44050-50110) was the cause of the malfunction and noise. Lexus tech and advisor noted that this is a a very common issue on this particular model - 2007 LS460.

The contact owns a 2007 Lexus LS460. The contact stated that while driving at 15 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and failed to respond without warning. The contact stated that after the vehicle was switched into the neutral position, the brakes responded properly. Upon examination, the contact discovered that the brake rotors were extremely hot and had a burning odor coming from them. In addition, the contact stated that the check ABS and check vsc warning lights illuminated with an error message stating to park immediately and contact the dealer. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the brake pump and the brake actuator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 80,000.

On 8/28/2015 I was doing a brake job on my 2007 Lexus ls 460, I completed the rear rotors and pads. So I started on the front replacing the pads I accidentally tapped the brake, but not pressed all the way in. Not knowing the rotors was not on the car yet. I then notice lights appear on the dash. ABS, brake, asc etc... I then started reading up on this problem on how to fix it, what I'm hearing that I may need the actuator and booster replaced. Another thing I'm hearing would be try bleed my brakes. So I'm trying this today this is a problem that a lot of 2007 Lexus ls 460 and up are having, this seem like a problem that needs to be a recall.

The vehicle makes a noise when braking and pulses. Upon investigation at the dealership I was told that it was a faulty brake ABS actuator. Because the vehicle is out of warranty Lexus will not cover the $3000 replacement. Lexus is fully aware of the issue and put out a technical bulletin for the repair. Even though the brakes are a safety component Lexus refuses to consider this for a recall. After recalling all those floor mats when they couldn't find any issue causing rapid acceleration you would think Lexus would recall a known flaw with the ABS brake actuator.
