This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The intial problem is that there is a popping noise that is coming from the brakes. The dealer says that this is normal, and is due to brake shifting. A day later the brakes started to squeal. The rotors and pads were reserfaced twice, and the problem now comes and goes. I feel there is a major issue with the brake system in the Lexus Is 300, and the noise is not normal. Out of the 5 cars I have owned I never heard this in any of them.
