I have had replace the H.I.D headlight bulb 3 times on each side. I think they must be defected, other people on Lexus chat online have voiced they have the same problems with there Lexus. Was there a recall? also rear struts leaking.

Takata recall. While driving the vehicle the lights will just go off or flicker. This can sometimes be corrected by turning the lights off then back on. This can happen while driving or idlelight bulbs have been replace and the problem still persist. Check vsc light on with no problems with the engine. Coke's on and off for years

I've had this car for 4 months and while driving my vehicle my lights will just turn off. This happens while vehicle Is stationary or on the road at low street speed or high highway speeds. Sometimes just the left headlight, sometimes just the right headlight and sometimes both headlights at the same time. Only way to temporarily correct Is to turn the light switch off and then back on for a few more minutes and then the light problem happens again. I've seen numerous complaints. Changing the lightbulbs does not work, I've tried that. I've done research and been on lexis Is forums and people like me have the same or similar problem with the same year and models or similar year and models. I went to dealership to ask about a possible recall for this headlight issue and they said light bulbs needed to be replaced. I told them I had replaced them already and there answer was replace the whole headlights which run close to $1000. I've heard of people replacing their entire headlights and the same problem persists. Dealership states it's a wear and tear issue. How Is it a wear and tear issue when your headlights go out when your driving at high and low speeds at night? and not to mention both bulbs work occasionally but then go out and problem can be fix by turning the light switch off and on again a few times a trip hoping you don't hit anything or anyone. This Is not a wear and tear issue, this Is a safety issue and must be corrected before we all have an accident or worse. Please look into this.

I purchased a cpo Lexus IS250 in 2008, I had intermittent headlight failure brough car into Lexus and was told they couldnt reproduce the problem. Picked my car up brought it home and sure enough the headlight is out. Called Lexus immediately sent a picture of the light out. Brought car back in they switched the headlight and of course the light on the same side went out again. I was very fristrated because as a female and knowing warranty was up soon I feel they didnt care. The light went out again and happens every day I had bulbs replaced and problem still happens. I have been ticketed for light flickering and going out. Driving on highway at 65mpj, check engine and check vsc light go on, car drops power and downshifts very hard, I drop to 40 mph in the left lane of highway. Check vsc and check engine light on at 1

When operating the front headlights, the lights will fade off during driving. The bulb does not go completely out, but within a few minutes of driving, they will go out. I have to click the lights on and off for them to come back on. I have had one bulb replaced, and will have the other replaced as well. This seems to be a common issue with this vehicle as I have a co-worker that experiences the same with his IS350 Lexus.

Sitting still in a parking lot. Just started the car. Led lights stopped working on speedometer and RPM. Then I tried to touch my gps and it stopped recognizing my touch. Traveling down the road, my headlights go out and I turn the light switch off and back on and my headlights come back on. Two years later (present time), my headlights still go off while driving or sitting still very frequently. My led lights are still not working and I ended up purchasing another gps screen and had an auto electrician install it for me. Occasionally my air conditioning system has a mind of its own by switching to different setting on its own. I have to turn it off and back on before I can change settings on it myself and sometimes it still won't let me change them. Auto electricians said that they would be chasing a ghost trying to find what is causing all the problems. I have looked up complaints on the model and year of this vehicle online and have found many others having the same problems that I am experiencing. Something needs to be done. This will cost each vehicle owner thousands of dollars before an electrician could possibly be able to find the problem and fix it.

Vehicle headlights go out while driving. I have done some research and discovered it is a major problem with this model and would like to know why there has not been a recall to address the problem. I have a 16 year old driving this vehicle and I am very concerned.

The headlights will stop working intermittently while driving. At times only the driver side headlight will not work, but at other times both will not work. Many times rotating the headlight control on the steering wheel left stem to the off position and then turning the control back to the on position will cause the headlights to illuminate. Other times I must pull to the side of the road, turn off the vehicle, and then turn on the vehicle for the headlights to work. This Is a very dangerous situation as it occurs at night.

Headlights randomly turn off at night while driving. Replaced bulbs already and have noticed many Lexus of this year have the same problem. Have to flick lights off and back on to turn on again.

While driving at night the left (driver side) headlight lamp will just go out. Then I have to turn off all of the lights completely and turn them back on immediately, then it will come back on, but sometimes I can tell its out by looking at the reflection in a vehicle in front of me, then other times I don't know it's out unless someone flashes me and I'm afraid the police are going to pull me over and give me a ticket for a headlight being out. I feel there is a short somewhere because it comes back on if I turn off the lights completely and turn them back on real quick. It happens at least every night (or morning dusk to dawn hours), sometimes twice a night. Besides it being annoying it is dangerous not having both lights on while driving at night or in the rain.

8.about 90 minutes after parking the car, dave went to start Lexus IS250 to go to a restaurant to meet family. The car would not start. So he took a cab. The next morning (Saturday July 31, 2010) he jump started the Lexus IS250 and drove it to, a Toyota dealership which was the nearest repair facility listed in the Lexus IS250's navigation system as a repair facility system. The dealer advised that it could not be able be reimbursed for warrantee service but tested and advised that the battery was bad. Dave bought a new battery from them. The nearest Lexus dealer was in syracuse, 90 miles away and was closed. 9.the Lexus IS250 then started fine. Dave drove to the birthday lunch after which the Lexus IS250 again could not be started without being jumped started. Dave then returned to the motel to change into hiking cloths. The Lexus IS250 again would not start. Dave cut his stay short and loaded the Lexus IS250 up because he did not want to be stuck in summer Sunday traffic with road construction delays while the Lexus IS250 was erratic. Daves plan had originally been to drive from ithaca to ocean city, Maryland to spend time with his children and grandchildren. Dave decided it would be better to go directly home and take his always reliable Subaru to the ocean. 10.it was a dark Saturday night when dave had crossed the New York ' Pennsylvania state line and was going through a mountain pass when the Lexus IS250 became very scary. All of the lights and all apparent electric power went out momentarily and came back on. This repeated itself more than 3 dozen times while he drove straight through to his home. Another odd problem was that when he used the switches up close the windows, 3 of the 4 would close then come back down between 1 and 2.

Driving on the highway all of a sudden the power steering shuts off. The steering gets very stiff and barely manage to get safely to side of the road. (a driver with less arm strength would most likely cause accident due to stiffness of steering) when pulled to side of the road and vehicle is turned off then turned on again. The steering works properly again. While it does this the "P/S" light on dash comes on. Also the vehicles hid lights go out while driving. When turned off and on again. They continue to work.

When I bought the car literally a week later the drivers side head light started flickering and eventually turned off. I have to constantly turn it on and off to have both head lights engage. I can have it park for as little as 5 minutes and the light goes out by itself. I have taken the vehicle to several Toyota dealers and mechanics and they have said that I need to replace the light bulb but it can't be the light bulb because the light turns on so it must be something else. So I bought a new light hid bulb and it keeps turning on and off. So im not understanding. I recently took it to Toyota dealer to get it check out and they told me the same thing light bulb needs to be replace.

While driving the headlights on my 2007 IS250 will just go off. Most of the time it is the left one, occasionally the right one will go out. I have to turn the lights off and right back on, then they will stay on. This has been happening intermittently for a couple of years. It happens more frequently now, several times each week. The dealer says that the bulb is going out and needs to be replaced, going out for a couple of years? really. I would have believed that if I had not seen so many complaints regarding the same thing. I was told by the dealer the bulbs would be replaced under the warranty but not the extended warranty. I have around 45,000 or 46,000 miles.
