Called main headquarters of Lexus many times they were no help. I have two cars from them IS 250 and RX 350. They said the warranty on that problem was up in 2017. I told them I had no problem until this past August when temp hit 90 to 100 . Extremely hot summer which caused dashboard and door panels to melt. I replaced only the dashboard which I paid for it myself. They should repay me and replace the door panels. Thank you

I had no idea what happened. I thought something had been sprayed on the dash. I'm just glad my wife was looking for problems on carcomplaints. I thought a Lexus tested and built of higher quality parts.

My 2006 IS 250 Lexus is melting! This is crazy! The plastic is shiny and sticky and gets residue on your hands if you touch it. It is so ugly I didn’t know Lexus' cars had problems like this? I have no idea what I’m going to do now, I can’t afford to replace the interior just to have it melt again! Is there any solution for me? I loved my car.

Shortly after purchasing my Lexus IS250, I received notification from Lexus that they would be initiating a repair program for their melting dashboard problem. It has been a year and still no replacement. I have called multiple times and voiced that it is blinding when driving because of the glare only to be told that I am on a list and would be contacted. This is my primary vehicle. Me, my husband, and our soon to be born daughter rely on this vehicle to get us around. This issue is getting worse and all I have been told is that I will be contacted.

Can someone tell me when the 'extended warranty' will be available before my dash and door trim start to melt completely away? When should I expect to have this in hand and ready to get in the shop??
