This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
My Lexus hs250H periodically lunges forward when I'm at a complete stop. This lunging occurs when the vehicle is in drive while using the foot-break (such as at a stop light). It also occurs when in park with the emergency break on. The lunging has also occurred when I've started the vehicle and have sat idle (in park with the emergency break on) for a few moments before putting the car in gear. Initially I thought it was movement caused by the gas engine automatically shutting off, but have ruled this out after paying close attention to each incident. I have taken the car in to the dealership for this issue. This issue has been occurring weekly, for months-sometimes the lunge is more forceful than other times. I'm indicating today's date as the incident date as this is the date I've taken the vehicle in to the dealership.
