This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I have a Lexus hs250H year 2010. When you go over a series of bumps or railroad tracks at about 40mph while hitting the brakes to slow up the brakes fail. Even with my foot still on the brake pedal the brakes fail and I have to release my foot off the brakes andpress down again. I have had the car back at 1,000 2,500 and 5,000 and complained about it each time and was told the first two times that it was fixed. Well the last time in when I told them again about it the dealer said when I was leaving and asked if they fixed the brakes he said "it is a characteristic of the hybird car to have the brakes react like that". well it is not safe like that. Get one and try going fast over a series of holes or bumps or rough railroad tracks and put the brakes on just before you hit them and the brakes release even with your foot still on the brake pedal.
The vehicle won't stop. It was a very cold day, it had been snowing a bit and I was at an intersection. The car seemed to keep going and the ABS did not deploy either.
I have a new Lexus Hs hybrid and I have specifically noted problems with the brakes when going over bumps, potholes, etc. The brakes seem to 'skip a beat', or 'not catch' for a second after you go over a pothole and I noted this directly to Lexus and in the survey forms I filled out for them.
My car has lost braking/slipped 3 or 4 times in the same spot on my street where there is uneven payment. I drive the new Lexus hs250H... it sounds very similar to the prius brake recall. I have had the car 2 months. After a couple of brake pressings, the brakes resume.

Not sure what happened but the car ran into a barrier pole while turning into the parking garage. The front bumper was damaged. I cannot tell if it was a problem with brake or not.
