brake booster failed

This is a common issue encountered on a lot of 2010 toyota prius/lexus hs250h hybrids.

Approximately 5000, 2010 HS250h hybrids were recalled in 2013 (Recall DLD) to replace the brake booster pump assembly, and in the same recall approximately 80,000 Prius'es were done as well.

Issue starts with the brace accumulator cycling every 20 seconds and it becomes more and more frequent until one day the brake accumulator dies, and making the car unable to stop potentially at high speeds. This is a serious safety issue that Toyota needs to address quickly.

All 2010 Toyota prius'es were later covered due to multiple complaints under customer support program ZJB.

2010 HS250h are fewer on the road so haven't received much attention.

I called Lexus and told them about the problem with the brake booster and pump and they told me there was no recall. I checked, and Toyota has a recall for the similar parts for Prius and I think they should cover the expensive parts.
