"takata recall" I received a recall for this issue May 2016. I have checked a number of times since when this will be remedied. Most recently August 2017. Each time I am told there is not yet a remedy for my vehicle though I have been told possibly Sept-Oct 2017. The recall states that significant degradation may occur between 6-9 years after put in service. My vehicle has now been in service 7yrs 6 months. I have not asked for a loaner, but feel this may be my only recourse as I feel that a "timely manner" has come and gone. It is nearly impossible to never have a passenger ride in the front and at best I shouldn't have to deal with such an inconvenience as to remember to rope off my front seat.

Takata recall. Recall has been open since May 2016 and still no repair available. Dealer says don't have anyone ride in the passenger seat. This is not acceptable. Honda has parts available to repair their vehicles why doesn't Toyota? Honda provided rentals for customers until parts were available, maybe Toyota would work a little harder at taking care of their customers if there was a financial reason to do so. There is no urgency on the part of the manufacturer to get this fixed.

Takata inflators: We are shocked there is yet "not a remedy" for this issue. We got the message May 2016 the car is fitted with the takata air bag that may result in "injury or death" to the front passenger. Years this is going on, how many more deaths, how much more time will this take. Meanwhile do you recommend a law suit? recall# 16V-340 [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).'
Recall came out on May 23, 2016. Today is January 17, 2017. This is nearly a year and their idea of a fix is to have no one ride in the passenger seat? this is totally ridiculous. I did not buy a luxury car so that no one could ride in the car. Just had the car at the dealership and they didn't even tell me there was a recall on it or that I shouldn't have anyone riding in the passenger seat. Found out by checking for recalls on the NHTSA site.

Takata recall: To date, our passenger airbag has not been replaced in our vehicle. This issue was first raised this summer, over 6 months ago. I've repeatedly requested assistance from our dealership and they do not have any updated information. We need to be able to utilize our front passenger seat but are reluctant to do so since the passenger air bag could cause death in an accident. It is completely unacceptable that a remedy has not been provided for this deadly part in our vehicle.
Takata recall. I am filing a complaint that Lexus has failed to remedy this defect within a reasonable time. Being unable to utilize the front passenger seat has been extremely inconvenient for me and my family. I have contacted my local Lexus dealership numerous times only for them inform me that the do not have the parts. Its's been nearly 6 months now since I was made aware of the recall.
