The contact owned a 2014 Lexus Gs 350. The contact stated that while driving at 35 mph, left approaching an on ramp, the vehicle began to shudder and stalled out while the accelerated pedal was depressed. The vehicle hesitated to accelerate causing another vehicle to crash into the contacts vehicle causing the vehicle to spin in 360 and end up in the middle of the road. All air bags deployed. A police report was filed and the contact received medical attention. The contact sustained minor injuries to the chest and went to the hospital the following day. The police towed the vehicle to a lot and deemed the vehicle a total loss. No dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact mentioned that he received a recall notification for NHTSA campaign number: 20V012000 (fuel system, gasoline) which could be a possible solution to the failure that occurred. The failure mileage was approximately 6,250.
