The contact owns a 2010 Lexus Gs 350. While driving approximately 50 mph in the rain, the windshield wipers failed to function. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road. The contact called aaa and they came out and tightened the wiper arm nuts and bolts. The vehicle was later taken to germaine Lexus of easton where it was diagnosed that the wiper arm nuts and bolts were stripped and needed to be replaced. The wiper nuts and bolts were temporarily repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 13V030000 (visibility/wiper). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in the recall. The approximate failure mileage was 61,100.
