The contact owns a 2007 Lexus GS350. The contact stated that the vehicle hesitated to start and there was a fuel odor inside the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle was jerking while driving. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic, where it was diagnosed with engine misfire and defective fuel injectors. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V012000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 170,000.
